Reflections on the functional fulfillment of monocable ropeways

From the «bible» of ropeway builders:

«… it could be of crucial importance in the future, with regard to safety criteria in the construction, operation and maintenance of ropeway installations, not only to seek solutions to problems and malfunctions when they occur, as has been the case up to now, but also to think in advance, so to speak with foresight.
Efforts to improve the functionality, reliability and prevention of hazards in the use and maintenance of ropeway installations must continue unabated. Because every single accident is tragic and one too many».
